Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Dr. Janiszewski is committed to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion and promoting anti-racist efforts in the earth sciences. Her research group welcomes people of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, national origins, and abilities, and all group members are expected to uphold these ideals. She is involved in several ongoing efforts at UH related to this.
JEDI and Department Community Committee - a faculty committee in the Department of Earth Sciences.
Huliāmahi - a weekly, grassroots meeting of students and faculty in the Dept. of Earth Sciences and HIGP at UH Manoa to discuss DEI related issues and initiatives.
URGE - Unlearning Racism in the Geosciences - she was the leader of an URGE pod for the Spring 2021 semester for the Dept. of Earth Sciences and HIGP at UH Manoa.
